XR Developer (Immersive Media)

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a mid/senior-level Unreal Engine Developer to join our Immersive Media department. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of custom AR/VR software solutions and interactive experiences across multiple platforms, primarily built in Unreal Engine, helping us deliver innovative experiences for the high-end design, property and superyacht industries. You will have a strong understanding of the XR industry and play an active role in the department’s R&D efforts, while helping to develop and refine our products as we work towards bringing them to mass-market release.

Essential Skills

  • A good understanding of best practice and workflows for creating VR experiences
  • Past experience working with version control solutions such as Perforce
  • Strong c++ knowledge
  • Experience developing networked applications for both LAN and cloud based deployments
  • Experience profiling within unreal engine using unreal insights and similar tools
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system
  • Past Experience working within a software development team (Minimum 2 years)
  • Experience bringing products to market in accordance with the requirements for the
  • Google Play Store, Meta Quest Store and PICO Store
  • Familiarity with creating DLC and managing dynamic content delivery pipelines to expand base applications
  • Familiarity with developing cross platform applications
  • Comfortable working in client facing context with direct contact with end users
  • Comfortable presenting to end users and representing the company at marketing events and expos

Desirable Skills

  • Experience working with outputs from a variety of CAD packages (Rhino, Revit, Solidworks etc.)
  • Past experience presenting VR to the public at international level events
  • Familiarity with the unreal engine asset creation pipeline and ability to support artists with final art implementation

Benefits

  • Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Terms

  • Hybrid working, capable and willing to visiting the studio at least once a month. Preference is for candidates able to be in once a week but this is not a strict requirement
  • Regular travel for work may be required
