Cinemagraphs are not altogether new, but seem to be gaining some notable ground speed of late. In fact we’ve taken a pretty close look into the recent trend of cinemagraphs and feel their potential really is taking off within the advertising and architectural industries.

Cinemagraphs are an incredibly attractive and cost-effective alternative to animation. Carefully selected elements within a ‘still’ image are animated, often tricking the viewer into thinking they’re looking at animation. In its purest form, cinemagraphs make excellent website banners or impact pages. And it’s almost like they were designed for Facebook and Instagram’s autoplay feature… In fact social media advertising takes full advantage of this ‘moving still’ media. When, however, a series of cinemagraphs are seamlessly merged together and simple camera pans, cuts and crops are used, you have an incredibly immersive animated experience.

We’ve had the privilege of working with some of the biggest names in interior design over the years. Due to the contained nature of an interior, cinemagraphs can be particularly effective and quick to implement. When drawing up our proposals, we look to create a visual package that will present a space in its best possible light. We’ll always look to go beyond the creation of ‘CGIs’ where possible, to increase the immersive nature of our work. The cinemagraph process in particular is far quicker than animation, allowing us to create single scene cinemagraph within days.

The below series was created for prestigious property developers Newcourt Residential, presenting them with an effective marketing package that grips audiences.

We were delighted to be asked by Kingston Homes to create a single, eye-catching cinemagraph animation to act as the homepage banner for the launch of their beautiful new website in 2019. The scene is entirely bespoke and created from scratch, allowing us full control over the composition, animated elements and art direction – the intention being to captivate the viewer and hold their attention.
